Pavement Licence provisions which make it easier for businesses to utilise space outside their shop fronts have been extended for a further 12 months until 30th September 2022.
Lancaster City Council has received a number of applications for a licence from city centre businesses. However, they have also informed us that some businesses have not yet submitted the relevant application and are therefore trading unlicensed.
Lancaster BID recognises the positive impact that street trading can have in bringing the city centre to life. We encourage all businesses considering trading outdoors to seek the relevant permission to provide tables/chairs outside their premise and on the Public Highway in order to ensure you are correctly licensed.
