The majority of city centre businesses are hopefully aware of the Lancaster City Centre Movement and Public Realm Strategy which is currently under development by Lancashire County Council.
The strategy aims to implement significant changes to traffic flow in and around the city centre in order to reduce levels of both congestion and air pollution.
Lancaster BID is pushing hard to ensure that local businesses are fully consulted in the development of the strategy to ensure disruption is minimised and the long term benefits of the scheme result in increased viability for city centre businesses.
