Sustainable Energy in Lancashire – Developing Skills for your Business

Lancaster & Morecambe College (LMC) is keen to engage with BID members to see how they could support you with sustainability measures, in particular reducing your business carbon footprint.

The College is involved in a number of exciting projects, supported by the Government’s Strategic Development Fund (SDF) to accelerate the green agenda and promote low-carbon services and practices.

The College is working in partnership with employers, stakeholders, and partner colleges; Myerscough, Nelson and Colne, Burnley, and Blackpool and the Fylde, to identify skills shortages and ways to promote sustainability and net-zero practices through exciting fully-funded training. A range of new facilities are being built as part of an Energy Hub at Lancaster & Morecambe College, including a VR Suite & Robotics Lab, a Hydrogen-ready Training Centre, an Insulation & Retrofitting Centre, and electric charging points technology to deliver plant vehicle training. The expanded training offer is fully funded by the DfE.

Download the College flyer to find out about courses currently in development and to complete a quick questionnaire to help highlight potential skills requirements within your business.
