Lancaster BID has been working with partners to put together new branding and marketing materials for the city in order to promote Lancaster. The materials will be used in printed media advertising as well as being shared across social media channels. Businesses are encouraged to adopt the branding on their own social media or by requesting posters to display on their premises.
Please share the posts on the Lancaster BID social media over the coming weeks or email email@example.com if you would like a copy of any specific materials.
The new branding is all about shouting about Lancaster and shopping local. Marketing and Events Coordinator, Victoria Muir said “We want to shout about the unique shopping experience we have here in Lancaster with both our high street stores and independent businesses and want to encourage people to shop locally as much as possible. We know these are very strange times but are delighted to see the majority of businesses in the city reopened with appropriate safety measures in place which means it can still be an enjoyable as well as safe experience for people to shop here. Our footfall has been increasing week on week and we are consistently higher than the national average so it shows that we still have a thriving city and want to encourage even more people to safely return to the city centre.
The branding focuses on shopping local by featuring independent, hospitality, love your high street and love your local. We are hoping people will take this to heart and with the student population returning to the city shortly we are hoping they will also embrace this ethos and support all of the local businesses as much as able to do so with safety measures in place.”
Keep an eye on all the BID social media accounts for the new branding as it will be posted over the coming week and remember to support our wonderful city by following the message we are promoting which is: Love Local, Love Lancaster.
