Lancaster BID has recently been made aware of a number of proposed changes to city centre parking which give us cause for concern. This includes proposed reduction of over 500 parking spaces with no clear Parking Strategy for the city.
Lancaster City Council has also informed us they will no longer be offering free parking on Sundays and Thursday evenings leafing up to Christmas, as has become a tradition for many years.
We have spoken with a small number of businesses which will be most heavily impacted and confirmed very low levels of awareness of the proposals. We are sharing this information to ensure all city centre businesses are aware of the planned changes and to invite you to share your thoughts with us.
Read our newsletter about the proposals at
HERE and let us know what you think.
We are especially keen to hear views of Lancaster city centre businesses so we have a strong voice to lobby the City Council on your behalf.
